Amatrice may be reached starting from Rome or Rieti toward the road Salaria. From Rome you shall get the Salaria road firectly from the centre or trough the exit of the G.R.A. and continuing following the indications to Rieti. From the G.R.A. you can go on the motorway A1 direction Florence and exit the motorway at the first exit Fiano Romano and continuing direction Rieti Antrodoco Posta you arrive to the deviation to Amatrice near to the Scandarello lake. Turn right and follow the indications for about 5 km.

Public Transport from Ascoli Piceno is the line for Rome - Terminus in Rome S. Martino della Battaglia Street near Termini station. Don t reach directly Amatrice and don t has any stop between Amatrice junction -Rome, stop in Caporio of Cittˆ Ducale. Stop for Amatrice : junction Saletta-Amatrice 8 km from the town. A part from Ascoli Piceno it is useful and quick connection also from Rome.

Public transport from Rome or Rieti COTRAL - Terminus in Rome near Tiburtina Station, arrival to the FS station of Rieti, then it is necessary to change to get Amatrice. Attention to the timetable to be sure to get the right connection one time in Rieti. Railway: the FS stations close to Amatrice are in L'Aquila Ascoli Piceno Rieti (coming from Terni or Perugia) and Rome. From the FS station the bus connection is needed.
