The actual owners of this building are the heirs descendant from an hold family od the town always living in such house. The house's elderly reminded that a pilgrim had asylum in such building during his journey from L'Aquila City to Ascoli Piceno City; the pilgrim was S. Emidio the saint patron of Ascoli Piceno but this above is of course only a legend because the saint lived in the III century d.c. while the house (and the own of Amatrice) were built later.
In the building it is possible to admire more than the stone walls in view and bricks arches an hold door in stone: three very hold lions support a nice balcony well preserved. On the left side of the hold front door in wood there is a strange door said "bride's door". The tradition said that such door is opened for allow the entrance of the bride in the new house after the wedding. The door is higher than the front door in order to facilitate the bride incoming considering that at this time the wedding procession of main families was by horses.
The B&B is located in an hold building of 1700 in the centre of town in Cola street, referred to Cola Filotesio famous architect, painter and sculptor surnamed Cola of Amatrice. Following the tradition he was the planner of the perfect project of the historic centre of Amatrice, rebuilt after sacking of Charles V on 1529; his works of art may be admired in the Art Gallery of Ascoli Piceno, Capitolinum Museums of Rome and in the Civic Museum of Amatrice in Cola Street close to the S. Emidio Church.
