Amatrice
pleasant town of High Sabina actually district of Rieti but previously of
L'Aquila and therefore "abruzzese" is located in meddle of a valley
on the border of Lazio and Abruzzi. The territory is composed by a central
plateau high of 900-1000 m.s.l. with a lake Scandarello and surrounded by
mountains which on the west side overcome 2400 mt on the central main ridgeline
of the Laga Mountains in the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga.
